Realistic Flamethrower Simulation Set Up in Houdini

The simulation was inspired by a technique showcased in a 2021 SIGGRAPH paper.

Have a look at this impressive flamethrower simulation made by Vu Pham, an ArchViz and VFX Artist known to many for creating realistic water simulations. Set up in Houdini with Pyro and FLIP, the simulation was inspired by a 2021 SIGGRAPH paper "FLIP Fluids as a Bi-directional Fuel Source in a Volumetric Fluid Simulation", which explores a flexible technique for creating Pyro simulations directly from and coupled with FLIP simulations for fuel.
