3D Artist and Game Developer known only as gibb0 has recently shared a couple of cool new demos, providing a highly-anticipated update on their outstanding WiP Spider-Man project and showcasing novel game mechanics developed for it.
For those unaware, the developer has been working on the project for more than three years at the least, with the first tweet showcasing a web-swinging system created for the game dating back to May 2020. The project is being created in collaboration with Animator Sarp Serter, who is responsible for Spidey's fluid animations, and is powered by Unreal Engine.
This time, the creator impressed us with the project's updated spider webs, which now act more naturally and can dynamically wrap and unwrap around geometry, and the newly added web wings.
Earlier, the developer also demonstrated some impressive web-swinging moves and a fun manhole-skating mechanic:
