Studio Gobo revealed that it has partnered with Guerilla Games and will help the studio create games in the Horizon universe.
Studio Gobo, the UK-based development studio which worked as a co-developer on Redfall, Hogwarts Legacy, Disney Infinity, and For Honor, announced that it has partnered with Guerrilla Games to work on its Horizon franchise.
The studio revealed the news on Thursday in a tweet and shared that it is currently actively hiring new developers to take part in the creation of games in the Horizon universe as well as other projects.
Guerilla Games currently has a number of Horizon projects in the works.
In December last year, following the rumors that a multiplayer co-op game based on the Horizon franchise was in development, Guerrilla confirmed that it indeed was working on an online co-op game set in the Horizon universe that would feature a "new cast of characters and a unique stylized look."
In the same statement, the studio also noted that it would continue to create "epic" single-player experiences featuring the series' main character Aloy.
Guerrilla is also preparing to release Horizon Call of the Mountain, the VR spin-off of the open-world game series which will come out in February for PS VR2, along with the headset's launch.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is another project that the team is currently working on. Announced during The Game Awards in December 2022, it will be a new DLC for Horizon Forbidden West that continues Aloy's story, tasking the protagonist to investigate a nefarious threat in the untamed wilderness of a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles.
