Release Date & Platforms Announced For This Silent Hill-Inspired Old-School Horror Game
Labyrinth of the Demon King is coming this May.
Labyrinth Of The Demon King is an old-school style horror game created by solo game developer J.R. Hydepohl, with Top Hat Studios acting as the game's publisher. We've been following up on its development for a while. Today, the developer has brought great news for those eagerly waiting for it — it will be released in around three weeks.
If you missed our previous introduction, in this game with a distinctive PS1-style graphics, you'll need to travel through the eerie fog-covered Labyrinth Of The Demon King, solving puzzles and fighting blood-curdling creatures, some of which will resemble the creepiness of Silent Hill 4's ghosts, but are easier to beat. An assortment of melee and ranged weapons is available along the way, and your goal is to find the demon who betrayed your lord and end its life.
After the video clip in the announcement Twitter post serving as an appetizer, we've prepared a whole feast for you with recently shared gameplay footage that treats your eyes with retro graphics and immersive gameplay:
The great news is that when the game is released on May 13, it will be available on various platforms, including PC via Steam, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. It will offer achievements/trophies for platforms that support this feature and in-game achievements for those that don't.
If you haven't tried out the demo version yet, don't hesitate to download it from Steam and add the game to your wishlist if you enjoy it.
