It seems that Rockstar somewhat improved the infamous trilogy ahead of the release.

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, the infamous remaster of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas that initially hit the market in 2021, will soon be available on mobile devices exclusively for Netflix subscribers.

Starting today, players can pre-register for the remastered trilogy on iOS and Google Play. As per Netflix's official announcement, all three games will be accessible within the Netflix mobile app and separately offered to Netflix subscribers on the App Store and Google Play, beginning December 14, 2023.

"Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition adds to a growing catalog of more than 80 mobile games, with must-play titles across all genres adding further value to all Netflix memberships – including through one of the most iconic series in history, without any ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees," commented Netflix.

Aside from the announcement itself, the team shared several screenshots for the mobile versions of the remastered games, showing that Rockstar had seemingly tweaked and optimized the titles ahead of the release, presumably in an effort to prevent a fiasco similar to the one that took place back when the trilogy was originally launched.

The images reveal that the mobile versions of remastered GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas incorporate new lighting and water effects, adjusted color palettes, upgraded skyboxes, refined distance fog, and more. You can check out the screenshots attached below:
