Report: We Will Not See New RTX GPUs from NVIDIA in 2026

The RTX 60 series is also delayed beyond 2027.

NVIDIA

NVIDIA is a prolific GPU maker, but don't expect new cards from it this year. According to The Information (via Tom's Hardware), we won't see any new cards from the company, and the upcoming RTX 60 Series is also delayed beyond 2027.

It's likely that part of the issue is the memory shortage we've been suffering from for the past several months. NVIDIA reportedly has the design for its RTX 50 Super refresh, but it has been deprioritized due to the situation, which also affected the RTX 60 Series, which was allegedly supposed to start mass production at the end of 2027.

"Demand for GeForce RTX GPUs is strong, and memory supply is constrained. We continue to ship all GeForce SKUs and are working closely with our suppliers to maximize memory availability," NVIDIA told Tom's Hardware.

If not for the difficulties with memory, NVIDIA would release an RTX 5080 Super, RTX 5070 Ti Super, and RTX 5070 Super, according to rumors, improving the specs and adding GDDR7 memory and higher power limits.

"The RTX 5080 Super was supposedly going to get 24GB of GDDR7 and a 415W TGP. The outgoing 5080, by contrast, comes with 16GB of GDDR7 and a 360W TDP. Similarly, the RTX 5070 Ti Super was going to get 24GB of GDDR7 and a 350W TDP, compared to the outgoing 5070 Ti's 16GB of GDDR7 and 300W TDP," Tom's Hardware says.

So if nothing changes, NVIDIA's RTX 60 Series GPUs will likely begin production only in 2028.
