Capcom recently shared updated sales figures for the Resident Evil 4 remake in their consolidated financial results on January 31. As of December 31, 2023, the game has sold over 6.4 million copies, making it the fastest-selling title in the Resident Evil series.
During the period from October to December 2023, Capcom successfully sold an additional one million copies. The company notes that "active promotion" helped achieve this result, which included a free update for PlayStation VR2 players.
"Further, Resident Evil 4, launched in March 2023, contributed to sales growth, reaching 6.48 million units cumulatively, supported by ongoing promotional measures including free title updates for PlayStation VR2," as stated in Capcom's document.

Capcom hasn't shared recent sales figures for their other games in the series. Based on available data, the top performers in the series are Resident Evil 5, with 14.5 million copies sold across all editions, followed by the remake of Resident Evil 2, which has sold 13.1 million copies, and the original Resident Evil 4 with 13 million copies sold across all editions.
Capcom's financial performance shows positive growth, with net sales increasing by 33% compared to the previous year, and operating profit rising by 36.8%.
