Resident Evil Village & Genshin Impact Tested on iPhone 15 Pro Max

The results are quite impressive.

A week ago, Apple presented its new iPhone 15 and promised that Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding Director's Cut, and Assassin's Creed Mirage would run natively on the Pro models. Those who got to play Village claimed it could keep stable 30FPS without any noticeable drops.

Now you get a chance to see for yourself how some games fare on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. YouTube channel Geek Culture tested the phone with Resident Evil Village, Genshin Impact, PUBG: Mobile, and Honkai: Star Rail, and the results are better than you might have expected.

The phone's cooling system showed itself well in the video. Playing Resident Evil Village for 20 minutes increased the device's temperature by about 10°C to 34-39°C (93-102°F). The game looked a lot like on Switch, didn't cause any performance issues, and affected the battery very little: it went from 100% to 95%.

Other games were also comfortable to play, and the iPhone 15 didn't heat up too much, mostly staying in the 35-39°C range. However, Honkai: Star Rail was the hottest of them all reaching 40-46°C (104-114°F).

Geek Culture said that while the temperature spike was noticeable with Honkai, it still felt comfortable to hold the phone.

Overall, the iPhone 15 Pro Max seems to be doing great with games and could be an awesome addition to your gaming setup.

The new lineup is going to be released on September 22. Watch the test video here and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
