Roper Technologies to Buy Foundry

Huge news here: Roper Technologies is said to have plans on acquiring Foundry, a well-known company in our industry.

A New York-based technology group is said to pay more than £400m for the British visual effects company responsible for a number of tools. Sky News reports that Roper Technologies “has struck a deal to buy Foundry, which has worked on a string of Hollywood blockbusters.”

The deal could be announced as soon as Monday, and it is stated that Roper outbid Goldman and Atairos.

Set up in 1996, Foundry is based in London, and has offices in Manchester and Austin, Texas as of this moment. The team provides post-production and software solutions.
