James Gunn: "Sadly, there is no truth to this whatsoever."
Recently, a rumor has been spreading around to excite Batman fans: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is working on a video game that was set in The Batman universe.
This information comes from a Puck News article published last Friday (subscription needed, citing via IGN), which said the game was “seeded in the 2022 Batman movie,” despite no additional information on its genre or relevant details. However, the fans’ hope was soon dashed and turned into simply an illusion, as no such game is being made at this moment.

James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, replied to a query about this rumored project on Threads, saying directly that “sadly, there is no truth to this whatsoever."
While this may be disappointing, it's better to get a clear answer instead of having hopes up in the air. Think about something exciting — the next installment in the Batman: Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Shadow, will be released next month, eight years after the launch of the last game in the series. It will be exclusively available on Meta Quest 3.
Speaking of Batman games, back in May this year, footage of a stealth game featuring Batman appeared online. This was from an unreleased project for PlayStation 2, which was developed by Volition, the studio behind Saints Row.
