Rumor: Wolfenstein 3 Is in Development at MachineGames
Will we see it before Amazon's adaptation?
MachineGames
Wolfenstein games have been on players' minds for 35 years, and it looks like a new one is finally coming, at least according to some recent rumors.
Windows Central's Jez Corden said he'd heard that MachineGames, which you might know for its recent hit Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, is working on Wolfenstein 3 "to coincide with the upcoming Wolfenstein Amazon TV show." Kotaku backed up the rumor with its own sources.
The previous mainline title, The New Colossus, was released in 2017, and fans have been hungry for more ever since. Its two spin-offs, Youngblood and Cyberpilot, launched in 2019, couldn't satisfy the majority of players, so a new, good game in the series would be awesome now.
Of course, these are just rumors, although I could easily see it happening, so don't get too worked up yet.
One difference between The New Colossus and the possible new title will be the fact that MachineGames now belongs to Microsoft, which makes some fans skeptical about the result, but we'll have to wait and see.
