The studio started working on a new game in 2020, and that's not a Metro one.

In a recent interview, Saber's new boss Matthew Karch talked about their latest departure from Embracer and shared some plans for the near future.

During the interview, Karch also mentioned that 4A Games was developing "another project", which is something different from the Metro series. Even though he did not disclose details about the project, he did say that in 2020, the studio was busy working on an undisclosed title and a shooter based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's books. Since it was challenging to develop these two projects, a new division was formed to streamline production processes.

Speaking of 4A Games, Karch didn't clarify the future of 4A Games following Saber's recent separation from the Embracer. While official statements indicate that the studio remains part of the Embracer, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier reported that Beacon Interactive, which acquired a part of Saber in March, decided to secure full ownership.
