Saber Thing: Unity-Powered Lightsaber Game Mechanic for VR

Unity Developer and CG Artist Dan Shimmyo has released Saber Thing – a fun tech demo that allows you to wield a lightsaber in VR. The swinging and cutting mechanics are heavily fleshed out and the author is currently designing a game around them. The demo was made available to showcase that the sword's mechanics are satisfying with minimal game content.

Saber Thing can be played for free on Oculus Quest via SideQuest, and SteamVR via itch.io. Shimmyo also plans to finish the AppLab submission soon as well.
