Sam Lake Shares That He's Finished Filming His Motion Capture Scenes for Alan Wake 2's DLC

The dates for Alan Wake's expansions are still unknown.

On March 12, Sam Lake, the Lead Writer for the Alan Wake games and other titles produced by Remedy, took to Twitter and shared that he had finished filming his scenes for the upcoming DLC for Alan Wake 2.

"Strike a T-pose! It's a wrap for me as an actor in Alan Wake 2. My final DLC pickup motion capture shoot done. What a ride it has been," Lake wrote on Twitter.

The users on Reddit have already started discussing what that could mean. Some are guessing about the character Lake could play, joking if it's Sam Lake or Alex Casey, the others are in talks about Alan Wake's DLC.

Regarding Alan Wake's DLC, in October 2023, Remedy confirmed to IGN that the game would receive two expansions. The first expansion, named Night Springs, is anticipated to launch in late spring 2024, although Remedy emphasized that this timeframe is subject to change. The second expansion, titled The Lakehouse, does not have a confirmed release window as of now.

Based on the information provided, both expansions appear to focus on short stories involving characters from the franchise that are linked to the main storyline of the horror game.

Speaking of Alan Wake 2, recently we reported how well-known composer Petri Alanko, who writes music for Remedy, shared how some pretty extraordinary toys helped him create a nightmarish soundtrack for Remedy's biggest project, a.k.a. Alan Wake 2.
