Sci-Fi Horror ROUTINE Will Launch in December

The game will be released on Steam and Xbox.

Sci-fi horror ROUTINE, developed by Lunar Software, with Raw Fury as a publisher, received a release date. The game will launch on December 4 on Steam and Xbox platforms.

ROUTINE has been in development for about 12 years, after it was first announced in 2013. The game has been in the works but remained largely silent since 2022, when the devs dropped a re-reveal trailer. This July, the project received updates from the creators, who assured the fans that the game is "very much in active development" and that the creation process is nearing completion, also showing a glimpse of one of the locations, UNION PLAZA, a decaying tourist hub on the Moon:

The game is a first-person sci-fi horror set on an abandoned lunar base crafted around an 80s vision of the future. You need to investigate the base and survive the unknown threat, piecing together the events that occurred before your arrival. ROUTINE promises a highly immersive gameplay experience, as it features full body awareness, diegetic audio, and minimal UI.

Recently, the developers shared a Q&A session, in which they covered such aspects of creating the game as restarting the development in Unreal Engine 4, the pause in the development process, details of the game's world, and the inspiration for the project's atmosphere.
