Sean Murray Responds To Once Human Selling Possibly Stolen No Man's Sky Asset

"Joke's on them, we forgot to LOD those rivets."

A few days back, the Reddit community of No Man's Sky noticed that Once Human appears to have taken an asset from Hello Games, now featured as the top reward in a paid Sky King lootbox. The comparison image between the No Man's Sky Base Teleport Module and Once Human's reward makes their similarities hard to ignore.

"To be clear, this item in Once Human isn't earned through gameplay – it is obtainable only as the highest-tier reward from a premium lootbox, often at significant cost. Meanwhile, in NMS, the teleport module is simply part of the journey – something players naturally build and use as they explore and progress", pointed out Koyonaku.

The asset's design may not be unique, leading to possible coincidence, but there are claims that Once Human has previously used others' assets in the past, and some believe both developers may have purchased the model and adapted it independently. However, the situation reached Sean Murray, and wow, these rivets are something else.

So far, Starry Studio, the team behind Once Human, has not commented on why the lootbox reward resembles the Base Teleport Module.
