See How Number of Faces Affects Cloth Simulation in 3D

Blendy 3D shows how to make planes softer.

If you are a beginner 3D artist and don't know what the number of faces and subdivisions does to a cloth simulation, or perhaps you want to make your plane fell less like cardboard and more like silk, Blendy 3D has a very satisfying demonstration. A lot of them.

The idea is that the more faces there are, the softer the object becomes. Honestly, you can watch these clips just for this awesome feeling when those squares get just enough faces to look like perfect fabric or another material.

It might get repetitive after a while, but to me, watching these videos is always time well spent.

You can find more of those and other experiments on Blendy 3D's YouTube channel.
