See How This Blender Scene with 30 Million Tris Was Made from Scratch

A Reddit user known as Blendist3D, or Choice-Function-8515, shared a one-minute video demonstrating 16 hours of work.

A Reddit user known as Blendist3D, or Choice-Function-8515, showcased a clip overviewing the process of creating the stunning environment in Blender.

The artist showed 16 hours of the creative process in a one-minute video, demonstrating modeling architectural pieces, adding vegetation, colors, and the final rendered version of the scene. It is amazing how such a complex setup with detailed buildings started from scratch, and the artist crafted every piece on their own.

As shared by the creator, the scene has over 30 million tris. Creating water was an experiment with Blender's Gabor Texture Node, a new feature added to Blender 4.3, while for the bricks and ivy, the artist used Cell Fracture and BagaPie respectively.

As for Blender 4.3, released in November and updated with 95 bug fixes a few weeks later, apart from Gabor Texture Node, it introduced a rewritten Grease Pencil, Light Linking for Eevee, and several other features. Watch the official recap:
