Sick Fight Clip From A Hack & Slash Game With Manga Ink Graphics

GHOST EATER has received lots of new updates.

It's been a while since we last covered GHOST EATER, a Unity-powered cybernetic third-person action game inspired by the Deus Ex and NieR series. Here are some of the latest developments that are worth sharing.

In case you missed it, Alex Epton's upcoming project is an action game with immersive sim/RPG elements, manga graphics, and a stylish minimalist UI. Players defeat or manipulate enemies to progress through a dense, interconnected cyberpunk environment.

Last July, the game received a gameplay trailer, giving us a chance to learn what to expect from the overall gameplay and mechanics:

Alex takes a unique approach to working on the levels. He prefers to sketch the maps on paper and refine them before heading to software to model them there. Below, you can see some sketches and early blackouts for some levels:

As the development progresses, more player-friendly features, such as highlighting interactive objects while players approach, have been implemented. The gameplay is also enriching, and players can now parry projectiles. Besides, a combat with mech-like enemy with tentacles has been showcased:

GHOST EATER doesn't have a release window yet, and if you'd like to follow up on its development, don't hesitate to add it to your wishlist on Steam and follow the developer on X/Twitter.
