Check out the demonstration of Houdini's Flowmap tool published on SideFX Labs' official ArtStation page.
In case you missed it, a toolset for Houdini called SideFX Labs has got a fantastic tool that allows you to create your own stylized rivers with a realistic current. The tool is called Flowmap and was demonstrated via SideFX Labs' official ArtStation page. The demonstration video itself was created by Environment Artist Elizabeth Stephens, who is known for designing multiple fascinating environments using Houdini, Substance Software, and Unreal Engine.
The Flowmap tool in Labs allows for procedural flowmaps to be generated inside Houdini or using Houdini Engine in any of the plugins. This makes creating flowmaps far easier, while also preserving the ability to art-direct the results through manual work. The tools also come with ways to preview the flowmap in action from within Houdini to reduce the need for Engine I/O for testing purposes.
