Despite bringing bad news for some players, the new Immersion Trailer has definitely brought fans’ anticipation to the next level.
The new Silent Hill 2 Remake PS5 Immersion trailer has dashed the hopes of console players who are eager to play the game but don’t own the latest console in the series. The trailer confirms that the game will be a PS5 console exclusive and will not be available on “other formats” until October 8, 2025.
Despite bringing bad news for some players, this new trailer has definitely prompted fans’ anticipation to the next level with its advanced DualSense controller, which makes the game experience more immersive. Players can enjoy the game in 4K and feel every visceral attack with “haptic feedback.”
Meanwhile, many players have praised the fact that the “game looks better every time they show it.” This feedback is a sharp contrast with the gameplay trailer released at the beginning of this year. It received a lot of criticism because of outdated graphics, wooden animations, and inconsistencies with the original atmosphere. Even the CEO of Bloober Team said that it didn't reflect the "spirit of the game." With the game’s producer’s promise of polishing the game to meet players’ high expectations, their efforts seem to have paid off, as seen in players’ positive reviews of the latest trailer.

Last month, the game received a story trailer that features a fresh look at Akira Yamaoka's tune and introduces the main characters, James, Maria, Mary, Angela, Laura, and Eddie. Some of them made their first appearances to the audience.
The remake of this highly-anticipated survival horror classic will launch in only half a month. The presale is ongoing, with the Standard Edition priced at $69.99 and a Deluxe Edition at $79.99, which allows early access to the game on October 6, as well as other perks like a digital artbook and digital soundtrack. You can check it out on Steam.
