French film director Chrisophe Gans, who directed the original Silent Hill movie and is currently working on the upcoming reboot, has recently shared that Konami has "several" Silent Hill games in development.
In an interview with the French website Movie & Game, (translated by ResetEra user Angie), Gans revealed that he knows "a bit" about the next Silent Hill game as he works with the original creators of the franchise, the Silent Team, as well as with Konami.
He also added that multiple teams are currently working on several titles in the series.
"I'm working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams on it, with a big line of games, they will revive the franchise," Gans said. "I think they were really impressed of the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are evidently exceptional games."
The rumors that the remake of Silent Hill 2 is in the works at Bloober Team have been circulating for some time and recently, several supposedly leaked Silent Hill 2 images that are claimed to be a "proof of concept no-budget demo" from an internal pitch by Bloober Team appeared online.
Although Bloober Team never officially announced that it's working on the Silent Hill 2 remake, it didn't deny the rumors either just saying that it "can't comment" on anything that it is working on as it appreciates its relationships with partners and adding that the company will announce new projects as soon as they can.
