Skyblivion Devs Share a 4-Hour-Long Gameplay Demo

During a live stream, the team showcased Skyblivion in more detail and answered some of the burning questions regarding the upcoming mod.

In case you missed the news, earlier this week, the developers of Skyblivion, a highly-anticipated fan-made mod that aims to recreate The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with Skyrim's Creation Engine, shared a new release trailer, announcing that the game will be ready by 2025.

Following the announcement, the team also conducted a lengthy four-hour-long live stream, providing a closer look at what they had accomplished so far. During the stream, the developers showcased the upcoming game's world map and locations, demonstrated some of its gameplay mechanics, including those that were present in the original Oblivion but were cut from Skyrim, e.g. fighting underwater, showed the character models, weapons, and armor sets they made for the mod, and shared a look at some of the changes they made to the original game's environments, apparel enchantments, and such.

Additionally, the developers answered some of the burning questions the fans had regarding Skyblivion, saying that the mod will be lore-friendly and won't feature any new races or Skyrim-specific mechanics, such as dragon shouts. The team also commented that the mod is being developed as a PC exclusive and most likely won't be released on consoles.
