Sony Will Sell Refurbished PS5 Consoles & Controllers

If you think that the upcoming PlayStation Pro is too expensive, take a look at a more affordable option – Sony will sell refurbished PS5 consoles and DualSense Controllers.

The refurbished PS5 consoles cost almost half of the price of the PS5 Pro and let the customers save $100 over buying new devices. The announced refurbished models include PlayStation 5, which costs $400, and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, priced at $350. The refurbished DualSense Controllers cost $60 to $65, while the price of the new units ranges from $75 to $80.

As promised by Sony, "you will receive a product that works like new with genuine PlayStation replacement parts (as needed) that has been thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and tested. " All refurbished products have necessary accessories, cables, and manuals, and the company provides you with a one-year limited warranty. Sony has also noted that refurbished consoles "may have minor cosmetic imperfections."

The specific release date has not been announced. It is only noted in the store that the refurbished models are "coming soon."

Earlier, it was reported that Sony's PlayStation Portal has been the best-selling gaming accessory in the UK and the US since its launch in November 2023.
