There's been a growing wave of apps trying to make retopology, one of the most tedious parts of 3D modeling, a little easier with AI. Sparseal, the creator of CozyBlanket, Uniform, and Wafer, has also joined the trend with the launch of CozyBlanket Pro, a toolkit built for geometry cleanup and optimization.

Note that this isn't an advanced version of CozyBlanket, it's a separate application with its own toolset, features, and file format. Its AI continuously analyzes high- and low-poly meshes, suggesting topology improvements in real-time. CozyBlanket Pro can handle tricky quad-filling tasks, reroute edge loops, place poles, and make topology decisions that feel closer to how an artist would. It can also work as a standalone UV unwrapping tool: mark seams and tweak UVs right in the 3D viewport, pack thousands of islands with GPU acceleration, and export your layouts. Bake vertex colors, normal maps, and ambient occlusion maps with support for multiple UV sets, UDIMs, custom bake cages, and high-to-low poly mesh workflows.

CozyBlanket Pro lets you work on entire characters or environments within a single file, while keeping multiple high-poly objects organized individually. It features a scene outliner that lets you solo or mute objects, plus statistics for the entire scene and individual objects. According to the developer, all AI models run locally on your device and work offline, so your work stays private.

Sparseal has just released the desktop version of CozyBlanket Pro for Windows and macOS. It's free to download, but you'll need to purchase a license to unlock document saving and exporting within the app.
