Sparseal Unveils Uniform 1.1 Features

A multi-object pose deformer, a new toolset for creating stylized hair, an option to convert low-poly meshes to smooth high-poly geometry with custom normals and normal maps, and more.

If you missed the news, Uniform is a new modeling and texturing app launched by CozyBlanket creators Sparseal, enabling artists to sculpt, create low-poly models, textures, and even set up final renders right on the iPad.

Since its release in May, the developers have rolled out a few updates, mostly focusing on quality-of-life tweaks and user interface improvements. However, it seems that the upcoming Uniform 1.1. is expected to be a major release, introducing a variety of new features teased by Sparseal on their X/Twitter page.

On top of the GeoCurve tool, the next Uniform update will include a versatile deformer, a new pivot, more sculpting on low-poly models with normal maps, and possibly some other exciting stuff coming soon:

In the meantime, check out this step-by-step tutorial on making low-poly sushi assets ready to be used in a game engine created by Sparseal to help artists delve into Uniform's capabilities and learn the basic concepts of the app:
