SPINE Brings Back Freeflow in Time for Batman: Arkham Asylum's Anniversary
"Freeflow never died – it was just waiting for the right hands."
The cyberpunk gun fu game SPINE keeps fans of the genre excited, but if you haven't had a chance to check it out and you love Batman: Arkham Asylum, this is the time.
To celebrate Arkham Asylum's 16th anniversary, the developers of SPINE released a side-by-side comparison of the games' freeflow combat, and it seems like SPINE is a worthy successor.
"Freeflow never died – it was just waiting for the right hands. SPINE is here to pick up the torch and bring the fire back."
The reception of SPINE is pretty positive so far; the game managed to get quite a fan base with its flashy movement design.
"Enjoy a thrilling fusion of cinematic gunplay and beat 'em up. Dive into the chaos of SPINE's combat, where every move is a dance between gunfire and raw, close-quarter bullet mayhem. It's not just a game; it's an artistic canvas for your own style of destruction."
SPINE should arrive in late 2025, but the exact release date hasn't been announced yet. It is targeting PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch 2, so it can potentially spread far, especially since there is a movie adaptation already planned.
