Just a little over a week ago, it was reported that Stability AI, the creator of the deep-learning text-to-image model Stable Diffusion, raised $101 million in funding. The AI company garnered the capital in three successive equity funding deals in the last two months at a reported valuation of over $1 billion.
And now, it is claimed that the company aims to raise an additional $1 billion of capital at a multibillion-dollar valuation. The news is reported by The Information which states, citing two people familiar with the matter, that Stability AI's CEO Emad Mostaque shared these plans with investors.
In a statement to the outlet, Mostaque said that he's "not raising" more money, however, he declined to comment on whether his discussions with investors were true.
