Star Citizen: A Look at Next-Gen Tech

Digital Foundry got a behind the scenes look at the production of the Star Citizen universe. 

In the first video of the series, you will find out how the team managed the number of assets and loading issues with the object containers. The development team also shared its rendering approach to giant volumetric gas clouds made in real-time and how they work on the planetary development using Microtech. 

Star Citizen is an online cosmic simulator that currently in the development by Cloud Imperium Games. The project was announced 10 years ago, while its production is discussed broadly in the community.
