Stardew Valley Fans Supported Creator After Update Delay News

The developers can be proud of the game's fanbase.

Delays in game releases are a common occurrence, but not every developer gets the fans' support after the announcement, especially not as much as the Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone did.

The developer shared that the 1.5 update for the mobile version of the simulator would be delayed for a week to make sure the players get the best quality possible. "I accept full responsibility for not hitting the end-of-year target," Barone said on Twitter.

Unexpectedly, the creator received an overwhelming amount of support in return, with fans reassuring him that they were ready to wait as long as required and expressing their appreciation for his efforts and transparency. It seems like frequent and honest communication is truly key to players' love.

Especially dedicated Stardew Valley lovers even made a post on the game's subreddit, leaving messages for the creator and sharing how the sim helped them fight real-life problems, such as alcoholism, grief, and depression.

If you enjoy the game and are looking forward to the next one, Haunted Chocolatier, leave your support for Eric Barone on Twitter.
