Starship Troopers Actor Is Ready to Help with Helldivers 2 Crossover

Casper Van Dien as General Brasch?

Killing alien bugs in a futuristic setting is not a new concept, although it's certainly one of the favorites considering Helldivers 2's popularity. Many of you remember Starship Troopers as a movie starring Casper Van Dien as Johnny Rico destroying waves of nasty creatures – sounds familiar?

Well, what if Van Dien connected the film and Helldivers 2 in an epic crossover? That would be awesome, as acknowledged by him, Arrowhead's CEO Johan Pilestedt, and the whole community.

As spotted by PC Gamer, recently, Van Dien has been posting a lot about Helldivers 2 on his X/Twitter, and, replying to Pilestedt's comment, he playfully suggested shooting a movie. "Let's start simple, I think we need some Roughnecks in the game," the director proposed, and fans seemed to agree.

Van Dien says he is ready for the role, so we might see him in the game one day, who knows?

Just don't forget: you shouldn't trust everything you see out there, according to Pilestedt himself. When players started reporting a new type of bug, he was quick to refute the rumors, saying that "bugs can't fly." Surely, you believe him.

Whether Van Dien appears in Helldivers 2 or not, Starship Troopers fans still have something to look forward to: the co-op FPS Starship Troopers: Extermination should arrive this year.
