Stylized Adventure Game Where You Play as a Paper Plane

Check out Paper Sky, an upcoming game with gorgeous stylized graphics and intricate flight mechanics.

Brute Force, an indie game developer and the creator of dynamic physics platformer Crumble, has recently shared an announcement trailer revealing Paper Sky, an upcoming adventure game set in a unique-looking stylized semi-open world where you play as a paper plane.

Powered by Unity, Paper Sky enables players to create their own paper plane and explore the skies using various movement techniques that must be uncovered and mastered throughout the game. Beyond the plane, one can also assume the role of a rolling paper ball, allowing dedicated players to seamlessly shift between two forms to get the maximum out of the game's intricate movement system.

"The game's flight mechanics focus on gliding," commented the developer. "Master the delicate balance of gaining momentum to stay airborne. Failure to maintain momentum could leave you grounded, transforming back into a ball until you regain the necessary speed to take flight. Colliding with objects will result in deformation, altering flight dynamics and pushing boundaries of real-time physics."

Moreover, the game's NPR environments serve a bigger role than just a backdrop, with the creator describing the world as an "interactive playground." As you play, you'll encounter advanced physics and visual effects that react to your every move. Your journey leaves a visible mark on the surrounding world, shaping it around you and making your adventure feel truly impactful.
