It has sold 4.3 Million copies.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder has reached an impressive milestone just two weeks after its release. The platformer has sold 4.3 million copies becoming the fastest-selling Super Mario-related title.
The data collection started with the releases of Wii and Nintendo DS, so the "fastest-selling" title takes into account only games from then onward.
Considering that Super Mario games usually sell consistently over a long period of time, Nintendo will most likely share more achievements in the future.
"We anticipate this title will be an appealing choice for consumers during the upcoming holiday season and will continue to sell next year onwards as well," the company said in its financial report.

Nintendo attributes the sales to the game's "surprising new 2D Mario experiences" and the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Moreover, this is the first entirely new entry in the sidescrolling Super Mario series in about 11 years, which adds to the anticipation.
Nintendo has no plans to stop producing new games in the Super Mario universe for Switch. Soon, we should see Princess Peach: Showtime!, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, remakes for Super Mario RPG and Mario vs. Donkey Kong, and more.
Meanwhile, the number of Nintendo Accounts has exceeded 330 million. The company wants to grow the system into a "vital business foundation."
