Masahiro Sakurai's aim is to make games around the world more fun.
Masahiro Sakurai, the director behind the Super Smash Bros. and Kirby series, has launched a YouTube channel where he's going to talk about game design. He said his aim is to "help make games around the world a little more fun."
Sakurai is planning to upload short videos to show creators of any skill level what game development is like.
The director is going to show different games' footage, including some development builds and design documents he has written. This is Sakurai's personal channel, it's not run together with Nintendo, and the creator doesn't aim to profit from it, so you can enjoy all the knowledge without having to sit through ads.
Sakurai had chosen YouTube as a medium because he is hoping to reach more people "than with a lecture, a conference, or a book." And it seems to work: in just a day, the channel got almost 230,000 subscribers.
To become one of those people, check out Masahiro Sakurai's channel, it already has a couple of videos. Also, don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
