"A quick test I did to warm myself up – literally! It's cold here, and I hoped my CPU would double as a heater, but it barely warmed up."
Morteza Ahmadi, who previously showcased an amazing jiggly cat-shaped pudding simulation, has created a new digital treat that demonstrates the power of Bifrost and Arnold. Quite literally sweet, this honey simulation test was also done in Maya with Bifrost's MPM.
As the artist shared, he finds Bifrost amazing, not only the new MPM solver but also the previous version. Check out a similar honey test he made using the older version of Bifrost:
The animation here is not hand-made. Like the spoon in the pudding scene, Morteza Ahmadi used a custom plug-in that adds VR controller support to Maya, which he plans to release to the public once it's completed.

Morteza Ahmadi is also the developer behind X-Ray, a versatile real-time rendering tool for Maya's Viewport 2.0, allowing you to easily adjust and modify lights and reflections like a canvas. It delivers high-quality results without requiring a powerful GPU, if your system runs Viewport 2.0, it can handle X-Ray.
