Take a Look at This Indie Dark-Fantasy Game with Lovecraft-Style Vibes

Awesome Games Studio, a small indie team that created Fury Unleashed and Yet Another Zombie Survivors, presented their dark fantasy action roguelike Hellreaper, featuring dynamic gameplay and atmospheric visuals resembling sophisticated book illustrations and giving off the vibes of Lovecraft's stories.

The protagonist is the unstoppable force Hellreaper sent from Heaven to the underworld to restore order, where the protagonist starts the mysterious journey, fighting the hordes of enemies, slaying grotesque bosses, wielding weapons and magic, and discovering ancient relics. The devastating Hellreaper is helped by a mysterious entity known as The Three Sisters and – unexpectedly – cats.

The roguelike features highly responsive controls and detailed, intricate visuals, combining deep environments, gothic graphic style, and dynamic VFX.
