It works like... magic.
Earlier this month, we showcased an impressive demo of normalMagic by SpaghetMeNot, and now it's officially live. For those who missed this, normalMagic is a powerful add-on for Blender that introduces a suite of tools designed to streamline modeling workflows and give you more control over mesh normals.
Controlling normals is important for creating high-quality 3D art. Whether you're working with hard-surface models, organic forms, foliage, hair, or fur, in either realistic or stylized styles, tweaking normals can significantly improve the final look of your work.
Avoid shading issues caused by Booleans with Boolean Pro, a replacement for Blender's default Boolean modifier, and fix normals on geometry that's already been cut with Repair Boolean Normals.
To blend surfaces smoothly, Surface Project lets you project positions, normals, and UVs onto other meshes, and Surface Insert allows you to merge, cut, and weld them into the surface. For better shading, Smooth Normals can soften or flatten normals, which is useful for toon shading or fake subsurface scattering. Normal Transfer lets you copy and blend normals between different, unconnected meshes.
The Pro version includes additional modifiers designed to speed up your workflow. normalMagic is available for Blender 4.5, and once you purchase it, you'll get all future updates for free as they're released.
