It's twice as much as what they received last year.
Take-Two Interactive's executives got hefty pay this year. The company's CEO Strauss Zelnick and President Karl Slatoff together received $72,350,718, according to Take-Two's annual proxy filing to shareholders.
This number is more than double the compensation of $30,040,000 they got last year. And it could have been higher (or lower), as noted by Axios, based on several factors, including an increase in player microtransaction spending.
Zelnick and Slatoff are paid through their management company ZMC, with the CEO getting 60% and the President – 40%. The money relies on their performance, it should be noted, it is not their annual salary.
As mentioned earlier, microtransactions are a big part of the increased earnings. Take-Two bought the mobile game company Zynga last year, which greatly contributed to the numbers.
On another note, in March, Take-Two laid off employees at Private Division and other parts of the company to "better align" the organization with its long-term priorities.
