Tencent’s New Horizon-Like Title Will Be Launched on PlayStation

The likeness of Tencent’s newly announced title, LIGHT OF MOTIRAM, with Sony’s Horizon Zero Dawn, is blatant enough to call it a rip-off of the latter. However, those who are waiting for a drama about the Chinese gaming giant being sued will be let down by the news that the game will also be available on PlayStation. Not only is a lawsuit will not happen, but there will also be “more cooperation with PlayStation in the future.”

PlayStation China’s official account on social media Weibo has announced this news along with a seven-minute trailer for PS5. The post also reveals that the first round of mobile testing for the game will soon be available for sign-up.  

If you missed the comparison between this upcoming open-world survival game featuring a female protagonist with a bow who kills giant mechanized animals and Horizon, the fact that the game has been hyped on Chinese media as a free version of Horizon made by Tencent might give a hint about the similarity level. 

Just a few hours ago, the game released a trailer on the video platform Bilibili to showcase the big five Mechanimals, including Hanuman, Bast, Serket, Pamola, and Rammasun.

LIGHT OF MOTIRAM is coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, iOS, and Android, with a rumored release window of August next year.
