The 10th Annual Game Awards Will Stream On December 10

Geoff Keighley announced the date on social media.

The Game Awards, one of the main events in the games industry where the best games of the year are chosen, picked a date for its next installment. The 10th annual show will stream live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on December 7th. The team shared that the event will be streamed for free on different platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok Live, Steam, and X (or Twitter for those who missed all the news).

Last year, the show attracted around 103 million viewers, which was almost 20 million more than the team got in 2021.

"Each year, we look forward to hosting a show that honors the stand-out games of the year, while also announcing and previewing some of the world’s biggest and most anticipated video games," said Geoff Keighley, creator and executive producer of The Game Awards. "With so many beloved video game franchises exploring new mediums and developers creating new experiences across platforms, whether in games, television, movies, and beyond, the industry continues to expand in many surprising ways, and we can’t wait to honor the year’s best games and to show viewers around the world what’s next."

Geoff Keighley has just wrapped another show – the host was leading Gamescom Opening Night Live. Among other things Remedy Entertainment has released a new trailer for Alan Wake 2, providing a closer look at the upcoming title's gameplay, plot, and titular character.

Another well-known studio, CD PROJEKT RED shared a new gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, showcasing the DLC's redesigned perk tree, vehicle combat, new weapons and cyberware, and more.

The show also got a visit from Bandai Namco – the team has officially announced Little Nightmares III, a new title in the puzzle-platform horror adventure series being developed by Supermassive Games.
