There is a chance that the game will be officially revealed during the upcoming State of Play.

Rumors about a prequel or a remaster of the original God of War trilogy started to circulate around the beginning of this year, when Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming shared more details about the game's setting in the podcast. Now, the journalist has shared a bit more about the genre and scale of it.
When replying to a fan's inquiry about the spinoff game, he confirmed the rumored genre as a 2.5D Metroidvania, while the scale seems to be smaller than what he had initially thought.
Jeff Grubb, who was tagged in the fan's inquiry, also confirmed this statement and left a comment simply saying, "Yeah."
The next God of War game, which will take us back to Ancient Greece and will feature a younger version of Kratos, is said to be in the works at Santa Monica.
Although neither insider's answers directly confirm whether we'll see an official reveal about the game during the 40-minute long State of Play show, which is about to go live very soon (begins June 4 at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 11 pm CEST | June 5 at 6 am JST, available to watch on both YouTube and Twitch), with all these details coming out intensively, the chance seems to be high.
