After releasing its financial report, CD Projekt Red met with shareholders and answered some of their questions. Earlier today, we've already reported on CDPR's plans not to implement any microtransactions in their single-player games.

However, microtransactions weren't the only topic the investors touched upon. CDPR's CFO Piotr Nielubowicz also talked about the upcoming project Polaris, a.k.a. The Witcher 4, sharing that we shouldn't expect to receive "just a Witcher 3 in new clothing" as the game will be featuring a plethora of new gameplay elements and mechanics that fans of the franchise have never seen before.

"Basically, I guess what I'm saying is you should not be expecting just a Witcher 3 in new clothing," shared Nielubowicz. "I mean, of course, we're building on the shoulders of what was done before and on the learnings of what was done before, but we will be adding new things, new elements, new gameplay elements, new mechanics that you have not seen in our previous games so far."

As for now, there are over 400 devs working on the next installment of the Witcher series. The game is still in its pre-production phase, and as we previously reported, it's set to enter the production stage later this year.

The release date of the project Polaris is also yet to be disclosed.

"Revealing the release date is basically part of the marketing plan and that's not something we're willing to do here," Nielubowicz said.
