Small indie studio is making a gorgeous episodic adventure game with Unity 5.
CommonGames has recently launched its critically acclaimed puzzle adventure game The Uncertain on Greenlight. It’s an interesting project with very detailed Unity 5 powered visuals and episodic format. Although quiet and serene gameplay-wise The Uncertain touches some very dark subjects.

The game focuses on a story set in a post-apocalyptic world. Main hero of the game is an advanced robot-inventor. He does not have much information about the world that is surrounding him. The player starts to explore this new world through “non-human” vision. He will unfold the story of this world, which involves many dangers, puzzles, plot twists and more. Will our hero become a beacon of salvation or a doom of all hope for civilization’s rebirth… it depends on you – says the official description.

The company has a vast experience working with Unity engine. They have been working with it long before they even started making games. The developers were working on assets for Unity Store and now they are trying to build a game.

We planning to release 3 episodes, by 3-4 hours gameplay each. Now on the market we have a lack of strong classical point-and-click adventure games beloved by our generation, I mean 25-30 years old guys. We want to develop such one but present reality says that better to using new approach and cut adventure games on episodes. We believe that mix of old school and modern episodic style might give us a good result.

We hope to see the The Uncertain on Steam in early 2016. The project was already shown on various events (DEVGAMM, E3) and received positive feedback from developers, publishers and users.
