CD Projekt has revealed its 2021 financial results.
CD Projekt's Vice President and CFO Piotr Nielubowicz revealed the company's 2021 financial results. The report presented by the company revealed the sales numbers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 and commented on the company's revenue in 2021. What's more, the report announced a transformation of the studio, which involves changing the way development projects are managed.
According to the report, over 65 million copies of The Witcher games have been purchased by gamers, including over 40 million copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Moreover, CD Projekt has sold over 18 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077, earning 888 million PLN (~$206 million) in revenues in 2021. The company’s consolidated net profit for the period was 209 million PLN (~$48 million)
"Despite having paid out our highest-ever dividend, at over 500 million PLN, and continuing development work on games – both existing and upcoming – by the end of 2021 the balance of our financial reserves, that is cash, bank deposits, and treasury bonds had increased by nearly 280 million PLN. Over the past years we’ve established a solid financial backbone which secures our independence and enables further growth of our Group," commented Piotr Nielubowicz.
