CD Projekt Red, the Polish studio behind the well-known The Witcher series, has announced that they will be launching an official mod editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2024. This exciting news was shared with fans in a short announcement on Twitter. The mod editor will empower players to create their own unique experiences by either crafting something entirely new or modifying existing quests and content.

"We're thrilled to announce that we're working on a mod editor for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! It will allow you to create your own experiences in the game by making something completely new or editing existing quests and content. We're planning on releasing it for free in 2024. Stay tuned — we'll have more to share next year!" the team shared on Twitter.

Scheduled for a free release, the mod editor will only be available on PC. Since its initial release in 2015, The Witcher 3 has been a massive success, selling over 50 million copies worldwide.

Despite the game's age, The Witcher 3 continues to drive revenue for CD Projekt. The studio seems hopeful that the launch of an official mod editor will provide a fresh surge of enthusiasm and engagement among players, further propelling the game forward. The future looks promising for both CDPR and The Witcher 3 as they continue to captivate audiences with their immersive RPG experience.

Some more news on the company, Adam Kiciński, the CEO of CDPR, will soon leave his current position and move on to the role of Chief Strategy Officer in 2024.
