CD PROJEKT together with Go On Board announced The Witcher: Path of Destiny – a new board game set in the famous universe.
It is a tableau-building card game for 1-5 players where you take on the role of Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Vesemir, or Dandelion to "retell the iconic stories from the saga" using unique abilities and trying to find your fate.
"The actions taken by the group will determine how the story ends – but only one of you will be remembered as a hero."
Each campaign takes around 45-60 minutes and focuses on careful card management. You select cards, play two of them, creating timelines, score victory points based on what you have, and move on to the epilogue after three rounds where you see who was the hero in this story. There are three tales you can choose from, with unique rules and mechanics.
The box contains a player board, some tokens, cards, and miniatures of the characters.
