This 3D Stimpy Animation is Anxiety Personified

Oh, joy?

Yan Blanco, a 3D Artist who specializes in making everyone's favorite cartoon characters look dead inside, has recently revisited one of his earlier 3D models and collaborated with Character Animator Rodrigo Hernán López to produce one of the most accurate visual depictions of what happens inside a person's mind during an anxiety attack that I've ever seen.

In case you missed it, back in 2022, Yan offered a highly detailed yet extremely off-putting take on Stimpy from the legendary Ren & Stimpy Show, recreating the character in 3D using Blender, Maya, ZBrush, and Substance 3D Painter:

More than a year later, this not-so-happy-and-joyous character model was finally brought to life in a short animation sequence set up by Rodrigo using Maya and Blender. According to the creators, Rodrigo was responsible for rigging and animation, as well as sound design, while Yan took charge of rendering, LookDev, and compilation.

A few months ago, Yan also recreated Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, managing to make the scientist look even more drunk and grubby than in the actual show:
