This Animated Project From India Involving Ex-Arcane Artists Looks Insane

The next epic Baahubali chapter turns India’s record-breaking saga into a CG masterpiece co-created by former Arcane artists.

Check out the first teaser for Baahubali: The Eternal War, an upcoming Indian animated feature continuing the country's most successful film franchise. The Spider-Verse-style project is a collaboration between India's Arka Productions and international partners Aniventure, Zaratan, and Alcyde (a studio that united several artists who previously worked on Arcane).
Directed by Ishan Shukla (Star Wars: Visions – The Bandits of Golak) and written by Scott Mosier (The Grinch, Clerks), the film will expand the Baahubali universe into CG animation. Set after the events of Baahubali: The Beginning and The Conclusion, the story follows Amarendra Baahubali in a cosmic conflict between devas and asuras as he seeks to restore balance across fourteen realms. Telugu actor Prabhas returns to voice the lead role, with Ramya Krishna reprising Sivagami.

The animation is being developed jointly by Mihira Visual Labs in India, Aniventure in the U.K., Zaratan in Scotland, and Alcyde in France. Alcyde is overseeing visual development, including storyboard, previsualization, and character design.

A first-look teaser, showcasing the epic stylized visuals, was revealed as part of the re-release of Baahubali: The Epic, a unified cut of S.S. Rajamouli’s original films. The new animated feature is planned as a two-part saga, with Baahubali: The Eternal War – Part 1 scheduled for release in 2027.
