This City Builder with Zelda & Stardew Valley Vibes Got Updates

It's hard to resist the powerful level editor in the game, which allows you to build a toilet on top of the mountain.

It’s been four months since Overthrown caught our attention for its smooth and awesome animations. We’re glad to hear that the game now has a Steam page for players to check more details about the game and, of course, hit THAT button to add to their wishlist.

If you missed our previous coverage of the game, Overthrown is an “unhinged silly builder game for 1-6 players” created by Brimstone, an indie studio with members located all over the world. During the past few months, the development has continued to evolve, and the developer has brought some intriguing new updates about the project on X/Twitter, showcasing more of the gameplay that looks fun, if not hilarious. Let’s check them out.

This level editor would make it possible for players with great creativity to “make and share your own maps.” Be it a deep basement or a toilet on top of a mountain, players can have their own brilliant ideas to show off in the game:

Farming plays a significant role in the game. This game is cute and cozy for sure, but it has its unique charm. A good example here: except for the unique method of harvesting crops, which you can see is way different than the typical harvester in traditional farming games, you will have the power to hold high your soup kitchen and walk through tomato fields or simply throw the kitchen over the fields. Well, the developer promised that would work. Who wouldn’t want to try that?

There are a few more in-game footage that showcase the “magical abilities” brought by Monarch’s “ancient soul-stealing crown”:

The game is set to be launched later this year. If you enjoy the chaotic fun, feel free to check more information about the game on the Steam page and don’t forget to add it to your wishlist to be notified when the game is launched. Also, we recommend you follow the developer on X/Twitter so you won’t miss out on any future updates.
