This Free Cozy Horror Game Was Made by a Team of 4 Developers During Layoffs

Check out The Queen's Gondola, an intricate horror game with beautiful visuals from Morning Crescent, described by one of the developers as a "cozy horror equivalent of anomaly-meets-hide-and-seek game." Remarkably, the game was built by just four developers in under three months during a layoff period. 

In The Queen's Gondola, players are trapped in a mystical loop on the Queen's royal aircraft. To escape, you won't rely on weapons and will use only your wits and observation. The world around you is full of mysterious artifacts and occurrences, and you'll need to keep an eye out for anomalies to break free from the supernatural snare.

The game offers an engaging Lovecraft-inspired adventure set in a dark elven fantasy world, blending Victorian and Art Nouveau aesthetics with Eldritch horror influences. It's a short experience; the play time is under an hour, so the adventure will be compact but atmospheric.

The Queen's Gondola is available for free on Steam. Released on June 23, it has already gained positive reviews, with players praising its diversity of anomalies, atmosphere, and narrative.
